Central Coast Oral
Health Collaborative
The Central Coast Oral Health Collaborative (CCOHC) was convened
by the Pajaro Valley Community Health Trust in July 2007. The
primary goals of the CCOHC are to: 1) Improve access to oral health
care for low-income and underserved populations on the Central
Coast; and 2) Decrease the burden of oral disease through promotion
of oral health and primary prevention.
The CCOHC is made up of partnering organizations that are committed
to improving the oral health of low-income and underserved populations
on the Central Coast. The CCOHC has two sub-committees:
Access and Promotion. Sub-committees carry out specific objectives
and meet as needed between quarterly Collaborative meetings.
- The Access Committee focuses
on improving
access to oral health care for low-income and underserved populations.
This committee also works on the implementation and expansion
of the Dental Affinity Program.
- The Promotion Committee focuses on promoting
oral health awareness and prevention strategies to the general
community.
