Giving to the Health Trust Endowment Fund is a way help ensure that a stable source of funding is available to support future health care programs and services.

An endowment fund is permanently restricted. Only the interest from the fund can be spent, not the principal that anchors the endowment. The Health Trust adheres to a spending policy that allows only a portion of the annual interest to be spent in order to assure that the original funds will grow over time.

Current components in the Health Trust Endowment include:

The Founders Fund: Interest used to support the health care needs of children and seniors in the community.

The Phil Rather Fund:  Interest used to support the Diabetes Health Center.

The Dental Health Fund:  Interest used to support oral health needs in the community.

The Frank and Zoe Ann Orr Fund:  Interest is unrestricted and used to support community health care needs at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
