2008 'Evening of Wine and Roses' Raises $55,000 for Community Health Care

The Board of Directors and staff of the Community Health Trust send warmest thanks to all who supported and/or attended our 25th Anniversary of the Evening of Wine and Roses. The night of November 7, 2008, was a fun-filled festive fundraising evening. Revenues from ticket sales, the silent auction, sponsorships and rose sales raised approximately $55,000. These funds help the Trust to support programs and services in its four strategic health areas: 1) diabetes and its contributing factors; 2) oral health prevention and treatment; 3) scholarships and educational program support in the health professions; and 4) health coverage and education on using the health system.

Special thanks go to our event volunteers for ticket sales, auction acquisition and display, hors d’oeuvre preparations and decorating. We would also like to thank the participating member-wineries of the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association, California Pajarosa and the Pajaro Valley rose and cut flower growers, many participating restaurants and caterers as well as local volunteers for donating their products and services for the event.

We look forward to another year. In 2009, the event will be held on Friday, November 6th.
